About Steph Lainé Vocals
Born and raised on the small, idyllic Channel Island of Guernsey, Steph has performed since the tender age of 5. Steph's roots lay firmly in Musical Theatre, having spent a lot of time during her school years performing in various theatre productions. In 2016, Steph went on to study Musical Theatre (professional training in acting, singing, and dancing) at university where, in 2019, she was awarded a First Class BA (Hons) degree.
After a slow and difficult start to her career due to covid-19 putting the entire music/theatre industry on hold, Steph began her professional performing career in 2021 at a small, family run holiday park in Bognor Regis. From there, Steph progressed onto cruise ships- her dream job- with her first cruise ship being the Viking Sea as a lead vocalist in the theatre cast. After 6 months performing onboard Viking, Steph's path veered away from the theatre industry and towards the music industry. Steph became a lead vocalist fronting a party band onboard P&O cruises in 2022 where she was able to fine-tune her hosting skills and broaden her repertoire. To date, Steph has performed onboard 4 out of 6 of P&O's fleet over the course of 6 contracts. Steph has also performed as part of a musical duo, Alexa Shuffle, onboard P&O Australia's Pacific Encounter and Princess cruises' Grand Princess. In just a few years of her career, Steph has sailed so far to 37 countries across 5 different continents.
When Steph has not been singing on the high seas, she has performed locally at various venues and events including pubs, clubs, weddings, and private parties. Due to her vast experience and extensive musical repertoire, Steph knows how to adapt to any occasion, venue, or demographic. Whilst Steph is trained in musical theatre, she has a truly versatile voice suited to all genres. Styles/genres include pop, country (her favourite!), rock, disco, motown, musical theatre, and jazz, spanning from as early as the 1930s through to modern day with a particularly vast 60s, 70s, and 80s repertoire. Whether you're after soft, acoustic background music for your wedding day, an upbeat, lively evening for a birthday bash, an authentic country hoe-down party, or a beautifully delivered power ballad to wow a crowd, Steph Lainé Vocals is sure to not disappoint.
